How K-pop and Park Chanyeol Help me improve myself

After I talked about K-pop, EXO, and Park Chanyeol, in this section I would like to tell my own story about how K-pop help me improve myself.

First, I started to learn Korean language.  Since I’ve been into K-pop for over six years, I wanted to be able to understand Korean language without reading Thai or English subtitle. I applied for Korean class at Ramkhamhaeng Institute of Language, Ramkhamhaeng University. After I finished two courses, I feel so happy that I can understand more Korean even I still need to read from Thai or English subtitle, for example; when I listen to Korean song, I’m more into the lyrics because I can understand some words and some sentence.

Second, I started to save money to go to South Korea. Actually, I went to South Korea twice, but with the tour agency. However, this time I would like to go on my own. I want to visit several places that related to EXO and Park Chanyeol. There are a lot of maps and guides about how to go there. I’ve already booked the flight and hotel to go by the end of 2015, so I will review my trip after I come back.

Third, I have a Youtube channel and upload videos with Thai subtitle. Because EXO has become a global star, there are some groups of fans who make English subtitle for the show, TV or radio program that EXO appears. Since I’m studying in international program, so my English is quite good, and I started to translate the dialogue and caption, put it in the video, and upload on Youtube. My most viewed Thai subtitle video is the radio program “Sunny FM Date”, the view has reached 50,000 views last month.
Recently, we have gathered those who make Thai subtitle for EXO in Thailand, and make a group called “EXO Thaisub Union”, so that we can share who will make what programs, and help each other share the links on Social Network.

Last, I make some new friends online. Normally, I’m a very quiet person when I meet someone new, but I talk a lot with my family and my close friends. However, they are not into K-pop like me, so I find some friends online and talk with them about K-pop. Also, I got Korean friends recently, and they teach me some Korean. Two months ago, two of my Korean friends came to Thailand and we had a one day trip together. I was having so much fun with them.

In conclusion, everyone has their own interest, for me is K-pop and it helps me a lot to improve myself. I hope you will have a good source of inspiration, too.
